insect-plant interactions

My research centres broadly on the evolution and ecology of species interactions.  I focus on plants and herbivorous insects, including pollinators, because these interactions are responsible for the evolution of a wide and fascinating diversity of traits, from reproduction to defence. Plant-insect interactions also play critical ecological roles in natural and managed ecosystems.  I completed my PhD at Cornell University with André Kessler.  I recently started as the EEB Departmental Fellow with Spencer Barrett and Stephen Wright at the University of Toronto.  Feel free to contact me with questions or comments!

Whether mythic or scientific, the view of the world that man constructs is always largely a product of imagination.   -François Jacob
