The kinetic energy of the body is

KE = (1/2) m V² .

When the 10 kg mass reaches point "B" it has the speed V = 1.5 m/s. At this moment the 2 kg mass (m=2 kg) has the same speed V = 1.5 m/s. So, its kinetic energy is:

KE = (1/2) m V² = 0.5 * 2 * 1.5² = 2.25 J
