Will you be accepting new PhD students in the Fall 2023 semester?

Most likely yes. I am looking for students who are interested in research and who value communication (written, visual, and verbal), teamwork, diversity, and scientific rigor. Some background in mechanics (computational and/or experimental) is very helpful, as well as an interest in earthquakes.
