please note the following dates on your calendars:

midterm exam: Tuesday, 3 April 2012, 19:30-22:00, 165 McGraw Hall

Thursday, 5 April 2012

Thursday, 12 April 2012

please contact Oren a.s.a.p. if you have a conflict during any of those times.

please note also the following change to the assignment sequence & grading scheme:

A new film response assignment (worth 10% of your total grade) has been added. I will work out the details of the assignment & post it online soon, but in rough outline, you will be expected to post a response to the three films we're viewing on the discussion board of the companion BlackBoard site.

The 10% of your grade awarded for this assignment have been carved out by shaving 5% off your participation grade component (as viewing & responding to the films will be considered part of your participation), plus 5% of extra credit, bringing the total attainable in this course to 105%. You need not, of course, earn the full 105% to do well in this course... 101% of your effort will do.
