I am a faculty member of the Department of Statistical Science, a member of the Center for Applied Mathematics (CAM) and a member of the Machine Learning Group in CIS. My research interests are centered around statistical machine learning theory and highdimensional statistical inference in a variety of problems in data science. Examples include: highdimensional clustering, clusterbased inference, network modeling, inference in structured high dimensional matrix models, model selection, sparsity and dimension reduction in high dimensions, applications to genetics and neuroscience. I am a fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) and am committed to promoting the diversity of the work force in datascience disciplines.
