MyEconLab(MEL) Instructions for Spring 2019 Wissink's Introductory Macroeconomics Econ1120-Lecture 1

*PLEASE READ THIS SECTION BEFORE YOU BEGIN DOING ANYTHING WITH PEARSON'S MEL web pages.

• NOTE: Newly purchased textbooks from the Cornell bookstore come with an Access Card which you will use to pay for MEL access - which includes an eText of the book, quizzes that will count towards the grading rubric and an assortment of other course related "helps". If you do not want to buy the book new, or at all, or you want to buy the book directly from Pearson, then you have an option to do that when you go through the MEL procedure outlined below.
  
  
• EVERYONE: You will not be able to do anything with our unique course site until January 21. So do not even try until after the first day of class.
  
  
• EVERYONE: Starting January 21, the first thing you do is use the registration link below and our unique MEL Course ID (for Wissink's 1120 Spring 2019) to make sure you sign up for the correct MEL site. DO NOT attempt to register for MEL via Blackboard!
  
  1) First Go To: http://www.pearsonmylabandmastering.com/northamerica/students/get-registered/index.html (copy and paste this registration page url into your browser).
  
  2) At: "Enter Your Course ID" type in wissink52971. This is the MyLab&Mastering unique MEL Course ID for Econ1120-Wissink-Spring2019-MACRO.

  3) Sign In:

  If you already have a registered Pearson user name and password, then sign in with it.

  If you are not already registered as a Pearson person with a Pearson user name and password, then use "Create a Pearson Account".

  4) Select an Option: Note that you have the option to get temporary access without payment for 14 days - see the bottom of the "Select an Option" screen. To pay for our wissink52971 site use either your Access Code, your Credit Card or Paypal. (Reminder: new books from the Cornell bookstore come with an Access Code card. Make sure you keep this and use it when you need to pay for MEL, it's like money!)

• Important notice for all Cornell University students registering for two or more PEARSON resources (Such as Mastering Chemistry and MyEconLab for another econ class): You can use the SAME Pearson user name and password for most Pearson resources. There is no need to set up separate PEARSON accounts for each class.

NOTE: after - and ONLY after - you are successfully registered for wissink52971, use the link below to get to the Pearson MyLab & Mastering login screen. You login with your Pearson user name and Pearson password. You then click on our course (which should show up as one of your active courses).
