RISE: INTERNSHIPS IN GERMAN PHD LABS gives North American undergraduate students in the fields of biology, chemistry, earth sciences, engineering and physics a chance to spend the summer working with German doctoral students on cutting edge research projects. The doctoral students help integrate you directly into the lab work and serve as personal and professional mentors. All participants receive prorated stipends from DAAD of approximately 650 Euro for any period of six weeks to three months between May and August 2010 to help cover living expenses. The partner universities and research institutions provide housing assistance.
RISE PROFESSIONAL: INTERNSHIPS IN GERMAN INDUSTRY are summer internships for "recent graduates and undergraduate DAAD alumni in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences or engineering (or a closely related field)."

UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP.
Highly qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply for scholarships funding study, thesis research, and/or internships in Germany that are either independently designed or part of organized programs. All applicants should be able to receive academic credit at their home institutions for their activity in Germany. Monthly "scholarships of approximately 650 Euro may be granted for a period of four to 10 meonths during the German academic year. DAAD will also cover health insurance and provide a lump sum toward travel costs."
