BioNB 4200/BioNB 7200 - Spinal Networks for Locomotion Fall 2008 Prerequisites:BioNB2220; permission of instructor required Prof. Ronald Harris-Warrick This course will compare the organization and modulation of the spinal cord central pattern generator (CPG) networks that control locomotion in several species. Major focus will be on lamprey, exnopus tadpole, zebrafish and rodent. Neural mechanisms for initiation, coordination and rhythm generation will be discussed.
