Prof. Ronald Harris-Warrick
Department of Neurobiology & Behavior

This course will compare the organization and modulation of the spinal cord central pattern generator (CPG) networks that control locomotion in several species. Major focus will be on lamprey, exnopus tadpole, zebrafish and rodent. Neural mechanisms for initiation, coordination and rhythm generation will be discussed. Readings will be from the scientific literature.
