1. "Lateral stability in frames may be provided by triangulation, joint rigitity, or shear walls." In Fig. 9.13 (Corbusier's Unite d'Habitation) one can see a rigid frame and shear walls providing lateral stability in the cross-sectional direction. How might stability be provided in the perpendicular (longitudinal) direction?
