On one sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" paper, draw the following:
- An elevation of a 2-story building with brick veneer. The overall dimensions are 120' long and 30' high. Scale: 1/16" = 1'-0". On the elevation, show the following:
- vertical and horizontal sealant joint lines
- glazing (12.5% or 1/8 of total surface area) consisting of inoperable lites ("windows") and a glazed entry vestibule at least 10-feet wide
- location of column lines (shown with dotted lines evenly-spaced at 20', 30', or 40')
- A sealant joint detail section cut through a vertical joint (drawn to scale: full size) showing brick, sealant, and backup rod; and indicating the dimension of the sealant joint. See text, especially details on page 686.
